"A passion that never dies".
Tara G.
"I have spent many years knowing I need therapy; and with excuses of why I didn’t need to restart, the loss of my long-term relationship had me feeling disparaged and hopeless. I reached out to my EAP for additional help, and they directed me to Lavender Springs Behavioral. I was unsure to start, as I do not like telehealth; but I felt after my first appointment with Nicole, that this was the perfect situation for me.
I have had many traumatic experiences during my nursing career, but my years of trauma through my childhood seemed to cause me the most distress in both professional and intimate relationships. With the dissolving of my relationship, I felt very lost in who I was, but Nicole created an open space in which I felt safe to be open to share many, many tears.
As a nurse practitioner, I have had many encounters of patients expressing a feeling of ease when speaking to me about happy and hard times; I don’t feel I had truly experienced this for myself as a patient, until I met Nicole. She allows patients to speak freely, but also softly guides them to allow them to not only express but understand themselves and grow.
I am 8 months post breakup and in a position I didn’t feel was possible; with Nicole’s guidance, I have found myself again, and I have began to grow into the person I have always wanted to be. I have accepted and moved past things that I thought I would always have to carry with me; as I didn’t know any other way to move on, outside of suppression and avoidance.
I cannot put into words the gratitude and endless thanks I have for Nicole and her team. It is providers like Nicole that truly make pivotal impacts in their patients lives, as they treat their patients from a place of care, but also passion. A passion I hope that never dies".
